One of the most important modern story tellers of the Turkish literature, Ahmet Büke opens a new chapter! His short stories published each Monday in his page “Social Details Encylopedia” in ON8 Blog are compiled in his new book. Written with a clear and flowing language, 37 short stories and the Aegean characters such as Arab Aunt Hatçe, Groceryman Nihat became phenomena in social media.

Ahmet Büke

Ahmet Büke was born in Manisa in 1970. He studied Economics and Administrative Sciences in Dokuz Eylül University. He received 2008 Oğuz Atay Story Award with his book Alnı Mavide (2008) and 2011 Sait Faik Story Award with his book Kumru’nun Gördüğü (2010). Büke’s stories were published in several literary magazines and they’re reminding us that the life is going by with many bitter sweet, weird and strange details. Büke became widely known with his story books İzmir Postası’nın Adamları (2004), Çiğdem Külahı (2006), Ekmek ve Zeytin (2011), Cazibe İstasyonu (2012) and Yüklük (2014).
